ROCKY'S FIGHT

Let me introduce you all to Rocky Hohn.

Rocky is a remarkable little young man who was diagnosed at birth with Complete Di George Syndrome. In a nutshell it is a terminal illness and means the sufferer basically has no immune system.  The only possible way a life can be saved is by giving the patient a "thymus" transplant which at this stage can only be performed in the USA. Rocky lives in Melbourne and he and his mother, Amanda have been over in North Carolina USA for Rocky to have the life-saving surgery.

We were first made known of Rocky from his grandparents who  live on the Gold Coast and they told us of his fight. We wanted to help in some way so we contacted Dean and asked him if he could help and on 15th April 2007 at the Dream Centre Christian Church on the Gold Coast, Dean did his first ever Gospel Concert where over $3,000 was donated by generous people who attended the show.

Rocky has now undergone his transplant and so far everything is going well although he is still having minor problems. He still has such a long road ahead and even though Rocky has left the USA and returned home , he will still be undergoing treatment for about 2 yrs.
